About the PMP
The PMP is one of the most widely recognised project management certifications in the world. It suits people who lead projects in any sector, including health and care.
What the course covers
The course is built around the three areas of the PMP exam:
- People: leading, supporting and developing a project team
- Process: the technical side of planning, running and closing a project
- Business environment: linking projects to the goals of the organisation
- Predictive, agile and hybrid ways of working
- How the exam works and how to prepare for it
Who it is for
- Project managers and project team leaders
- Managers in health and care who lead change projects
- Anyone who wants a recognised project management certification
PMI asks for project management experience and 35 hours of project management education (or the CAPM certification) before you can sit the exam. Check the current rules on the PMI website. Whether this course counts towards the 35 hours is to be confirmed.
